An old horse barn built with local milled hemlock was an empty shell with a dirt floor. Laurin Robertson Czyzyk, Lobo’s staff architectural designer, created architectural and interior design plans to turn the space into a luxury, 5-bedroom home.
Our Approach
The original hemlock siding was numbered and painstakingly removed, piece by piece to preserve the exterior aesthetic. Marvin windows and doors were designed and installed to create a light-filled space in observance of the original barn openings on each end. Foundations were retrofit, and structural engineering completed to maintain a lifetime of integrity. Lobo’s master carpenters created custom touches throughout using original hemlock leftover from when the barn was first built. Some projects are built from the head, but this one was built from the heart by our team of artisans.
